Membership

The League Club is open to women who have been or still are active members of a Junior League that is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International.  Presently membership is limited to 650 women, with additional names placed on a waiting list.

How to Apply for Membership

Women wishing to join The League Club must prove current or prior membership in a Junior League that is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International.  If you wish to join The League Club and want to request an application, please contact the VP of Membership at membershipinfo@theleagueclub.org.

Committees

The current standing committees are:  Area Meetings, Bylaws, Community Liaison, Events, Future Planning, Heart to Heart, Historian, Interest Groups, Newsletter, Nominating, Public Relations, and Website.

Interest Groups

In addition to The League Club standing committees there are several Interest Groups.  All members are invited to join one or all of these groups.  The Book Discussion Group meets monthly.  The League Club Bridge Group meets every Monday year round beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Pelican Marsh and includes a purchased lunch.  In addition there are Art Appreciation, Food & Wine, Food & Wine Encore, Genealogy, Investments, and Needlepoint Chit Chat Groups.  Watch the newsletter or this space for more details.

Mentor Program

Each new member will be assigned a Mentor to help guide the member through her first year in The League Club. The Mentor will help the new member become aware of the many activities of the Club, accompany the member to at least two monthly meetings and, in general, be accessible to the new member, answering questions about League Club activities and making sure the member is introduced to a variety of people and opportunities to participate in the Club.

Anyone who wishes to become a Mentor—or anyone who would like to have a Mentor—should contact the VP of Membership.
