In reviewing the Humane Society grant request, League Club volunteers Sally Kuralt and Myra Morrison said, “This is an exciting, carefully thought out project on the cutting edge of autism treatment. Initial data from placements to date is very promising. Children who have not previously spoken at all have now uttered words to their dogs. Anxiety levels have been lowered as well. Data from this project will be used to plan future efforts to support this innovative program and the Humane Society of Naples.”

Sister Veronica Fund Gets Grant from TLC
Ft. Myers News-Press (July 2, 2010) The Community Trust Fund of The League Club Inc., awarded a $6,500 grant to the CHS Healthcare's Sister Veronica Fund, a medical and dental relief fund in Immokalee.
The organization also awarded a $6.200 grant to purchase equipment/dental chair for Marion E. Fether's Dental program.

Good Deeds -- TLC Awarded $10,400 Grant to Neighborhood Health Clinic & $5,000 Grant to Voices for Kids
Naples Daily News (May 6, 2010) -- Benefits The League Club Inc. awarded a $10,400 grant to the Neighborhood Health Clinic to help fund diabetic women's medications, supplies, education and support services. It also awarded a $5,000 grant to Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida to support Bedz for Kidz, Happier Birthdays, Clothes for Kids, Access to the Arts, gymnastics and tutoring programs.
