The League Club established The Volunteer Center of Collier County to coordinate volunteers with various non-profit agencies seeking assistance. It was funded with money raised from fashion shows. By 1990, The Volunteer Center was operating independently. This propelled The League Club into its current status as a grant giving organization orchestrated by the Civic Involvement committee.
League Club women have also contributed thousands of volunteer hours in various areas. Members have served on numerous agency boards, worked in childcare and adult centers, with the illiterate and homeless, in conservation and arts groups and in churches.
