Membership
The League Club is open to women who have been or are still active members of a Junior League that is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International. Presently membership is limited to 650 women, with additional names placed on a waiting list.

League Club Committees

The current standing committees are:  Area Meetings, Bylaws, Community Liaison, Events, Future Planning, Heart to Heart, Historian, Newsletter, Nominating, Public Relations, and Website.

Interest Groups

In addition to The League Club standing committees there are several Interest Groups.  All members are invited to join one or all of these groups.  The Book Discussion Group meets monthly.  There are two League Club Bridge Groups -- one meets every Monday beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Pelican Marsh and includes a purchased lunch, the other meets at the Vineyards every second and fourth Wednesday (without lunch) from 1:00-4:00 p.m.  The Monday group plays year round.  The Wednesday group plays from late October through April.  Two addition Interest Groups were introduced in the Fall of 2005: Art Appreciation and Genealogy.  Watch the newsletter or this space for more details about possible new groups forming in the Fall of 2007.

Mentor Program

The League Club is happy to announce the Membership Committee has established a Mentor Program for new members.

Each new member will be assigned a Mentor to help guide the member through her first year in The League Club. The Mentor will help the new member become aware of the many activities of the Club, accompany the member to at least two monthly meetings and, in general, be accessible to the new member, answering questions about League Club activities and making sure the member is introduced to a variety of people and opportunities to participate in the Club.

Anyone who wishes to become a Mentor—or anyone who would like to have a Mentor—should contact the V. P. of Membership .
