For the 27th consecutive year, The League Club contributed grants to non-profit causes in Collier and Lee counties. At its annual meeting held on April 10, 2013 The League Club, Inc. awarded $203,305 in grants from its Community Trust Fund to local nonprofit agencies. Lisa Crowder, Vice President-Community and Chair of the Civic Involvement Committee, stated, "We are pleased to award these grants to 31 non-profit agencies that work tirelessly to strengthen our community and raise the quality of life for all residents in Collier and Lee counties." President Ann Westerfield added, "The needs are great and the decisions are tough that our grants review committee must make. We are grateful to our business underwriters, our Circle of Friends donors, our members and the community patrons who attend our fundraising events for their generous financial support that makes these grants possible." Since 1986, The League Club has distributed more than $2,700,000 to non-profit causes making a valuable impact in Collier and Lee counties.
The League Club, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization of women in Southwest Florida strengthening communities through fellowship, education, volunteerism and philanthropy.
